Bethlehem Village

Georgetown Church of the Nazarene has sponsored  Bethlehem Village as part of the annual Georgetown Christmas Stroll since 2007.  Being a woodworker with a sawmill, I was approached to build the stable and manger as well as many tables and stools for each of the shops.  Naturally I volunteered to lead  the Carpenter's Shop.  It is a LOT of fun plus a great community outreach project.  Each year more and more people come through and in 2015, we saw over 25,000 people visit us.  It is held the first Saturday of December and the Friday night before.    The following pictures show some of the Carpenters Shop activities as well as a few of the other shops and scenes.   This link will take you to the Bethlehem Village Facebook page (copy and paste) for more information  https://www.facebook.com/BethlehemVillage2012/

The Georgwetown Christmas Stroll and Bethlehem Village are held each year  on the first Saturday in December and the Friday night before,  In 2018 approximately 27000 people came through Bethlehem so it was quite a success.
2019 saw more than 30000 and 2021 about 40000 people stroll through Bethlehem (2020 was cancelled due to Covid19)
The 2023 Stroll will be December 1, 5-9 PM and Saturday December 2,   9 AM to 8 PM.

Bethlehem village is located on the SW corner of the Main and 10th street intersection two blocks south of the Square in Georgetown across the street from Main Street Baptist Church
