CUSTOM WOODWORKING
(THINGS I HAVE MADE OVER THE YEARS)
Call me for that custom woodworking project you have been wanting--tables, log beds, boxes, chests, mantels, caskets and furniture. I do lots of live edge furniture and I love new challenges. Having a sawmill Provides plenty of wood for these projects. I can also saw your log, dry it and build your furniture from it. In this process patience is required because it will normally take about one year per inch of thickness to dry the wood before I can begin to build your furniture.
Many of the large table tops are way to big to flatten using my planer so I flatten them using a technique called router planing. This short video demonstrates how I do this
As with all thing, we tend to enlarge and I needed to flatten bigger table tops so I modified my set up and can now flatten very large tops. With another extension, over 16. long and about 7. wide
This is my latest version, I improved the track roller system by adding one inch inverted angle on each side and "V" rollers on the sled and a system to move both routers over the same distance with the pull of a handle. This round is 72" by 84" by 4" thick. You can see it finished in the pictures above--it became a headboard.
